Yes! My son's speech therapist suggested this because they practice writing and saying words at school. I bought three of them for my three children, 3, 6 & 9 - and they all love them. Definitely buy the low odor erase markers. What a difference! (Especially since kids just keep drawing and drawing!) These worked great at Christmas for the long car rides. They colored pictures, used it as a hard surface for coloring books, played hangman, and beachman, tick-tac-toe... you name it. Definite Yes.
