I bought this for my little sister, she uses it to doodle and write checklists, she loves it. It's the perfect size, big enough to fit things on it without having to erase all the time, but small enough it doesn't occupy a huge space on the wall (it fits on a standard door).
It comes with tools to hang it and a normal shelf for the pens, and is protected by a plastic cover (peeling it off might help).
